Rummy
2–4 players · 20–40 min
Rummy on АСО follows the most common Bulgarian rules: two decks + 4 jokers (108 cards), 14 cards each (the first player gets 15), and a first meld worth at least 51 points. Build runs and sets, lay off on the table and try to go out first. The match ends when someone reaches 501 penalty points — the lowest score wins.

- Your turn. Draw from the stock or take the top discard (only if you use it straight away), meld what you can and discard one card. The first player starts with 15 cards and simply discards.
- Melds. A run = 3+ consecutive cards of one suit (ace low A-2-3 or high Q-K-A, no wrapping); a set = 3–4 cards of one rank in different suits. A joker stands in for any card.
- Opening. Your first meld must be worth at least 51 points: 2–10 face value, J/Q/K 10, ace 11 (1 in A-2-3), a joker counts as the card it replaces.
- After opening. Lay down new melds, add cards to your own and other players' melds, and take a joker from the table by replacing it with the real card.
- Scoring. You go out by discarding your last card and score 0. The others score the value of the cards in hand (joker 50); a player who hasn't opened scores 100. Going out in one go without opening earlier ("ръка") doubles the penalties.
Frequently asked questions
How do you play Rummy?
Rummy on АСО is Bulgarian rummy with two decks and 4 jokers for 2 to 4 players: you draw, build runs and sets, open with at least 51 points and go out by discarding your last card. The others collect penalty points for the cards left in hand, and the match ends when someone reaches 501 — the lowest score wins.
Can I take a card from the discard pile?
Yes, but only the top card and only if you use it in a meld straight away; if you haven't opened yet, only if it lets you open with 51 points.
