How to play Pool (9-ball)

  1. Order. First contact is always with the lowest-numbered ball on the table; then a ball must be pocketed or reach a rail.
  2. Continuing. Pocket a ball on a legal shot and you keep shooting — in any pocket.
  3. Winning. The 9-ball pocketed on a legal shot (even on a combination or the break) wins at once; three fouls in a row lose the game.
